Last call from the Moon Goddess

Last quarter moon. Time to let go. What is it you need to release?
If you are into casting magic, then now is the time to do you banishment spells. ( If you are getting rid of unwanted house guests, for example, always try to send them somewhere nice).

This is a perfect time in business to look at the last few weeks and see what is working. Think about where you want to put your attention and energy when the new moon come to light.
Look over your action plans, did you get done what you hoped over this last cycle ?
Now is not the time to start new projects, particularly with the Mercury Retrograde energy. Instead look at old projects that you have not finished. Use this energy to gently revisit, without guilt or shame and see your plans are still relevant to you now.

P.S A candle meditation is always lovely during this phase of the moon.
( Also a glass of wine or other relaxer of choice. No judgment , no praise, whatever gets you through the night.)

What did you say?

Embrace the Moon in Gemini and talk your way out of it.
The Moon in Gemini enables you to communicate. What is it you want to talk about? Is there a conversation that you need to have? Want to have? Should have?
Draw down the Gemini moon and speak your truth.

Side effects of a Gemini Moon are: Swinging wildly from conversation to conversation. Flirting. Lack of direction. Ants in your pants.

Getting positive

I have a lot of 'stuff' in my life. Since I am about to move house in 9 days, I am letting go of my 'stuff'. Setting myself the goal to only taking with me, what I truly love and need.
This is proving to be cathartic. In letting go of my 'stuff', I am also letting go of the emotions that wrap them.
I have made a choice that I am only going to live in the positive in my new home.
We are often in the negative in our lives. Negative habits, negative relationships and negative thoughts. I was watching the news while I started this post and realised how much of the information we receive throughout our day is focussed on what is wrong and must be righted. The heavy assignment for fixing the world, is placed on our shoulders, 'Stop watering your garden, turn your lights out, don't drive your car. And if possible, stop breathing.'
Enough.
I cannot and will not, live in the frame of mind that we are all doomed and it's all my fault.

The moon is moving from Capricorn and into Aquarius tomorrow, just after midnight. The energy from the Moon in Aquarius can make us selfish, caught up in our own airhead thoughts. It can also encourage to use our brilliance for good, not evil.
For those of you who practise pagan ritual or cast magic then this is a good time for sorting out any issues you may be having in your coven. Always good to deal with any small niggles such as not washing out the cauldron out properly and making sure there are nice biscuits to have with the ambrosial wine or the post magic cup of tea and catchup.

Positive thoughts peeps, positive choices, positive lives.

Later.

Play it for me, DJ Krishna

Made it through a dark eclipse day, a highlight was a blissful hour spent with Blessed Seraph and her little cherub. So cute, I nearly got a spoon and ate the little doll.
Returned to work to some dark arts being performed by the Goddess bookkeeper to keep things moving till the money plug becomes unstuck.
I also spent a hilarious 10 minutes at a bakery while 6 people tried to work the cash register which had an attack of the Mercury Retrogrades. They kept apologising while I laughed at their vain attempts at getting it to work. I said to them that they needed to work out the money I owed them manually, as the register would only work when it felt like it.
Technology is energy and like people, sometimes it gets huffy. It tells you when it wants to perform. Once you accept this then life gets much, much easier.

New Moon tomorrow at 2.46 pm.

Wish for brilliant ideas, goals for life, excitement, friend and getting rid of any varicose veins.

Eclipse is tomorrow at 5.44 pm.

Weave magic for universal compassion and revealing your destiny.
Whatever you cast now will stay in power until the next solar eclipse in August.
Also a few old skool Hindu traditions for an eclipse.
  • Some say, don't eat for 12 hours before a solar eclipse but drink water.
  • Bathe with your clothes straight after an eclipse for cleansing.
  • Don't eat any leftovers after the eclipse (easy for me, as there never are any in my house.)

I think meditating is a great eclipse ritual, as is bathing. I will be taking my clothes off though.

The Sadhana, from the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, recommends wishing the following order for -

1. If you are facing monetary problems and there is no source of income, then to be financially well off.

2. To get rid of diseases.

3. To gain fame, respect, laurels and prosperity.

4. If someone is against you and he is likely to harm you, then to render him unhostile.

5. To make someone favourable and getting something done through him.

6. To gain success in a Sadhana in which one has been repeatedly facing failure.

In fact this Sadhana can be tried to fulfill any wish, for accomplishing it during the eclipse is sure to bring success.

Right on, Happy New Moon and Eclipse for tomorrow peeps.

Death on a Full Moon

Playing with my astrology software last night, I noted to Gandalf about how many peeps in my life have Moon In Cancer.
Cancer is the home of the Moon, which is lovely. These astro types are intuitive and receptive, great sense of humour but it also makes them the most susceptible to addiction, self abuse and mood swings.

When the news of Heath Ledgers sad death broke this morning, I thought, he must have a moon in Cancer. Dunno why, just made sense. Looking at his chart, he does have this placement. He died on a Full Moon. Always intense for Cancer Moons.

Some people with Moon in Cancer, such as Drew Barrymore, Mary J. Blige and Robin Williams have been able to overcome their addictions and mood swings. Others such as Heath, Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin, all Cancer moons have suffered at their owns hand, meeting with untimely deaths and talent and their lifes dreams unfulfilled.

Cancers Moonies are like dogs chewing on a bone, even though the meat on the bone has long gone. Gnawing until they begin to gnaw at themselves. Reclusive, the sit in their kennel and chew and stew about whatever unhealed wound is aching.

Heath had Venus, Mars and Mercury in Pisces in the 9th house, I think he may have written to release his pain, one day he may have written something that was so brilliant that he would share it with the world. Who knows now?

Astrology aside, whenever a child is left without a parent I am saddened. Particularly when this child will have no memories of their father other than the films that he leaves behind.

Love and light to anyone who is hurting.

Egyptian Moon

The Moon is in Scorpio and apparently the Goddess of the Scorpio Moon is the Egyptian Goddess, Isis.
The Scorpio Moon is most often fierce. I often have a hard time when the Moon is in Scorpio but today I harnessed the energy and hooked up with my Scorpio Goddesses - Blessed Seraph and The Grecian Goddess, with Blessed's lovely Den Mother attending.

Scorpio Moon transits bring mystery and secrets. As I said, the only Goddess equipped to to deal with the Scorpio intensity is Isis. Isis is all about regeneration and transmutation.
Basic plot line of the Isis myth is this -

Queen Isis was married to her brother Osiris who was ruler of the throne. They were the children of Nut and Geb, and had an additional sister named Nephthys and brother Set. Isis was supposed to marry Set, not Osiris. When a jealous Set slew the beloved Osiris and dropped his body into the Nile, Isis did not simply mourn her lost love, but moved all forces of nature and rescued the body of her husband from where it had come to rest in Byblos.

Isis, with her sister Nephthys were preparing for the ceremonial burial of Osiris when his murderer Set stole the body and hacked it into fourteen pieces. Isis searched the length and breadth of Egypt, gathering together his pieces and, with the god Anubis, bound him together to make him whole, save for his phallus. In one version of the myth Isis formed a new phallus and attached it to her deceased husband’s body. For this and her unfathomable skills of re-creation, she is called Isis, ‘great of magic.’

She made magic wings for herself and became a desert kite, circling the sky, wailing and lamenting over the deceased Osiris. The wings and the wind they created wafted the breath of life into the dead Osiris. The devoted wife mounted her husband and with their union, conceived a son, Horus. Fearful that the jealous Set would seek out and injure her son, she bid her husband farewell. Osiris descended into the underworld to rule over the Netherworld. Isis went out into the wilderness, gave birth to Horus and hid him in the papyrus marshes, guarding him from Set and the natural forces and dangers, such as snakes and predators, until he came of age.

Only a Scorpio could bring walk the line between life, death and the afterworld.

All Hail, Isis!

Wasting time ?

Moon is in Gemini. Get on with your work. Stop reading people.com or perezhilton.com.
Stop facebooking old sex partners. Stop self-googling. Stop photocopying your face or arse or anything else that tickles your fancy.
Work it out and pay attention to the detail. Try to have actions come from all your conversations.
This is my plan and yet here I am blogging about doing it it. Stop talking start doing......prepare for the future, it is already here.

Time to heal perhaps

The Full moon coming up on the 4th of March is in Virgo, so I suggest a healing altar since Virgo is all about the body. What do you put on a healing altar though? Depends where your body issues lie. Maybe your unused gym membership could be a start.
A white image candle and a back image candle to suggest letting the negativity go and embrace the light.
Is there something you wanted to do around honouring yourself and your body? The Mind, Body and Soul.

Perhaps the healing is not for you. Is there someone in your life who could do with a little healing right now? What about the picture of the Earth? That could do with a little healing dust at the moment.
I plan to place a picture of Australia on my altar to encourage rain to our country which is becoming withered and intolerant in every area, physically and emotionally. I will also place a picture of my beloved Scorp Sis who has a meeting with her oncologist next week and I will ask for a clean slate. For myself I will put on my unused gym membership on there to remind me that I can if I want and will feel better if I do.

I would place some fresh flowers on the altar and consider printing of an image of White Tara- Goddess of compassion, strength and longevity or Sitala Ma- the Goddess of Health and Wellness.
Just hearing the name of The Medicine Buddha can bring amazing results apparently or call upon Sequanna, the Celtic Queen fo Healing in the Heart and Home.
So many options, but it is your altar to do what you wish with.

Have a great Moon-day.

I'm Back!

Yes, didn't take long did it?
I have enjoyed the hiatus, not long I know but after a year of blogging everyday for a year, my fingers needed a rest and mind also deserved a break.

A full moon in Leo and a spell session with the Sibyls. Nice to be back ladies! We did a Luck of 3 and Year of Success ritual. Lots of wind action and bats flying overhead to ward of any negative energy that may have been lurking in the summer shadows. This full moon was full of Leonine truths and candor, acidic but with a sweet aftertaste. The Leo moon is always dramatic, yet filled with warmth and dignity.
Sitting under the fig tree with the Sibyls I spoke to them of my neverending support for their years ahead and them to take heart in me always charging in their paddocks against intruders or hurts. Ladies, I have your backs!
I discussed my year old post on my anniversary of my experiment and said in hindsight I would have perhaps written it again differently.
So what I didn't say and what I would have liked to have said is this to my Sibyls:

Piscean Princess- You teach me to be more gracious and calm. It is through you that I see hope and what it is to be a true friend. Your undying belief in the world being a better place one day and that we can all rise with it, is exemplary. You are fluid and receptive and your heart beats with sensitivity to others and the Universe that surrounds you. It is an honour to have had this many lives with you.

And to the Blessed Seraph- Things change but our bond strengthens. You create waves of change wherever you go, through your creative vision for others about what they could one day hope to become. It is through you that I have done so much of this work: you connect, inspire and celebrate the big and small steps of those whom you love. Original, yet refined your heart beats with passion and intensity that defines comparison to anyone or anything. A better part of my life exists because of this friendship.

It may be a day late and a dollar short, but this is what I wanted to say and I should have said it earlier, but I am glad I have had this time to speak from the heart!

Thank you.

Never ends

I have discovered the learning never ends, it just goes up in levels and intensity. After sitting with Domonique the Wonderful and the Sun Aries/Leo Moon accountant, I have realised I have to now get ready to grow, adapt and consolidate and blah, blah, blah, I shan't bore you with it, but its full on. However like the true Taurean I am, I have bought a new business book and will be pulling that apart asap ready to implement and write the new chapter of our business. New moon in Capricorn tomorrow at 5.17, when I will be in another session with Domonique, beautifully timed by the way! [No accident either.]

Last Quarter and Fries please

Yes, its the last quarter moon, which often throws us into a crisis of confidence after basking in the light of the full moon consciousness from the last few days. The full moon always shows us the Way, the last quarter of the moon asks us to see what has been working for us and let go of the rest until the new moon in Capricorn on the 19th January. This is a terrific New Moon, focussing on goal setting and Capricornical qualities. Read here about it, super article!

Hungry like the wolf

This Full Moon is in Cancer and this is known as the Wolf Moon. It encourages us to do some sort of a ritual around our family and loved ones to protect them and their homes. It so called because in January in snowy times, prey is scarce and the wolves would be circling the village to await the vulnerable who may stray into dangerous territory. This is also the time to set things in motion: new ideas, goals, dreams and was traditionally the time to prepare for birth.
Lovely!
So, since we are in the Southern Hemisphere I wonder if we can still take on the archetype of the wolf and ask what are we hungry for this year? What have you been circling for a while and are now ready to pounce upon, in the very best sense of the word!
I have set the wheels in motion early with a renovation at work, enrolling in an astrology course and teaching my daughter and myself to touch type with one hand [don't ask!] if she can then I can is my motto!
So off I go, another year, another full moon and life is for the taking.

Moon and Dreams

I had a nightmare last night, I blame the void Moon in Cancer or the smoked salmon pizza I had, these surely mess with your psyche.

This is an interesting site that tells us all about the moon and its affects on us from all aspects.

The theme for the day is the familiar. Don't try anything new today folks, no joining the circus or hotpants or a turquoise eyeshadow, just leave it for a while and do whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
But if the circus, hotpants and turquoise eyeshadow are your style then do whatever blows your hair back my friends!

Thoughts

I have woken up with a head cold as the moon begins to wane. no surprise.
The divine astrobarry talks about "electional astrology", where you choose to do or launch something in particular phase as to draw the energy from the skies. I have begun to notice that I am automatically moving in rhythm with the moon and the skies but particularly the moon. I think it is important to manage your time and no go with your foot to the floor the whole time. Even if your schedule do not ease at least try to shift you mindset, think of the the tide going out. It is when the tide is low that we see all treasures at the bottom of the shore.
So, in this phase I have canceled all appointments where possible. I am taking the day off today and I will rest and be, looking at the treasures on my shore. I have Sun transiting Chiron at the moment, which is no surprise I am now unwell, the wounded healer crossing my personality.
Today I have "Mercury Opposition Sun" which indicates communication challenges, so never a better day to stay at home, looking at the physical and emotional tide moving outwards.
I am going to think about a few things I would like to let go off in this waning phase, more later.

Full Moon in Gemini at 2.06pm today!

Best time for spells involving: Communication, Public Relations, Writing.

I have a little spell that I plan to do with Blessed today when we luncheon together to discuss all things bridal and bountiful!
We write down the very things we want from this moon then we burn them and put the ashes into a glass of champagne then swallow them, we become the vessel in which the transmutation occurs. I look forward to it. I will try an find the words for what I want so I don't use lots of paper, don't know how well the ashes will go down. Yummy!

Thanks to the Goddess Bookkeeper for this spell, straight from the gypsies to her mouth to mine and now to you. Gemini Communication at its best.

This moon is crazy making apparently, so embrace the crazy and go forth and be a cool cat in the midst of traffic chaos, communication breakdowns and tantrums.
Interesting since , I had a dream last night about a friend who I always allowed to make me feel bad about myself. Whenever I did well for myself she somehow would chose not to notice as she was clearly threatened by it or would make it seem insignificant somehow. I wonder of the Full Moon rising let this energy seep into my subconscious. The Gemini moon can be critical and insensitive, so don't buy into it if possible, blame it on the Crazy Moon and drink champagne at 2.06 with a loved one!

New Moon Winds

The New Moon last night bought with it strong winds in our part of the world, that I like to think, uncover previously unseen paths which to take on this crazy journey through life.
We are about to go through an amazing time where all planets are going direct for the next 2 weeks. So I have been warned to expect fast tracking on all goals, major movement forward!

I dreamt I being taught to surf last night by this magnificent Maori man, he was great and so inspiring!

New Moon and Buddha

Yes, the Moon is here and since it is in Scorpio we are to ask what deep truths within ourselves are we wanting to reveal. The Moon gives us the opportunity to throw off the emotional veil and be our most powerful and authentic self. People say many things about Scorpio's but they can never say they are not themselves, warts and all. I tend to think that Scorpios are a sign that are unfairly discriminated against, I have many Scorps in my life and adore them all, I struggle with Virgos, but I recently read that everyone struggles with Virgos, so that makes me feel a little easier.

I am still reading the Buddhism at work book- Awake at Work, I like it the more I read it. Lovely paragraph around how we must embrace the orthodox and the extraordinary at work. We can have MBA's and be trained up the wazoo but unless we open ourselves to the unpredictable and the extraordinary then we will only be imitating not innovating.

Perhaps this New Moon is tied in with my thoughts today, the Scorp Moon is asking us to be ourselves and the book is asking me to "know oneself "and embrace the authentici part of you and incorporate this into your work. Be awake to you and your specialness!

Lovely stuff to mull over.

Thankyou Jesus

This is Jesus. He sits in my office and when I am on the accounts machine he holds the jewelery for the Goddess Bookkeeper and myself so we type without getting caught on the keyboard.
I like him, he is helpful and funny, when we need a laugh we wind him up and he wanders around on wheels. He is 'wheely' inspirational.
This is him holding my new bracelets. They have Egyptian charms and Lapis stones on them , I like it, it makes a nice noise, jangly, very gypsy. It matches a lovely charm that Blessed gave me for my birthday that is the Egyptian Om symbol in silver set into lapis stone.
I jingled and jangled all weekend, amusing myself and probably annoying everyone else!

Lapis is the stone of friendship and truth, its also balances the throat and brow chakra , it reveals hidden truths and increases self awareness.
Interesting choice, I bought it on Saturday when I became distracted on my desk hunting. It leaped out at me and I didn't think twice about purchasing it, I knew it was Meant at a deeper level.

Good thing I was protected as the lovely planet Jupiter bought a friend back into my life from 2 years ago with whom I parted on somewhat difficult terms on his behalf, not necessarily mine. Lapis brings harmony to relationship and allows the wearer to be authentic and openly state their opinion. Lots of fabulous information here for those interested. Interesting evening, maybe not a perfect time to see someone in a dark moon but a few laughs anyway.

I am off to buy candles now, New Moon comes in at 9.16am on Tuesday, so I will be casting tomorrow morning, a power ritual. All candles. These have to be set up on the altar in a very specific way, with candles to represent you, the day of the week, your astral sign, gold ones and altar candles in white. This is all from a new book here.

Balsamic moon

Yes, we are in the darkest part of the moon today, 1% of full still in Scorpio, waiting for the New Moon tomorrow. The energy is über psychic and is electric with the shadow part of all that is moving around us. Mercury went direct on the weekend, just as I was on the phone to my IT master who talked me through setting up a very complex and whizz bang VPN. I am a nerd and I felt good about it.
I did manifest a perfect desk for the study on the weekend, having being led to a divine antiques dealer, [who I think should meet the Goddess Bookkeeper btw.] He shared his wonderful spiritual thoughts on furniture and it's energy and the told me where to find my desk down the highway. He was right, I found it and it was delivered on the same day! Perfect Mercury Direct activity, the desk and the internet connection both serving to support my personal and professional communication.
So today, with this dark moon energy, I am laying low, I am going to do a whole protection thing for myself at work today and screen calls wherever possible. Off to work, more later if I have any great insights.

Peace out!
