Feng Shui Me Please

I recently return from Malaysia, where I spent some time Kuala Lumpur. KL, as they call it, is all about Feng Shui. It is everywhere you go, magazine, consultants, shops and advertisements spuiking the benefits of this age old tradtion of harnessing correct energy flow for prosperous family, heath and abundance. So while in KL I did what they 'Lumpurs' do and I hooked into Feng Shui. I had a consultation and received talismans for my new house and my business.
I came away with 3 wise men for my house and a frog with a coin in its mouth to put in the sun on my office window ledge. The Feng Shui master was into the fact that I wanted to learn and treated the art of Feng Shui with respect. Of course I was respectful. Feng Shui has been around for thousands of years and who is to argue with a jewelled frog with a coin in its mouth!

Make a Wish

Reading, writing and coughing. I have gone and gotten myself a cold from over thinking and having too much to process in the last week. Good one!

In my recent reading I found this tidbit of info and thought I would share it with you.

This image is of a wish box. In Feng Shui, these are über important. This one has the symbol for Double Happiness which would be nice as a wedding present.

They are used to focus energy on your personal wishes. Wishes are written on paper and placed in a special box. Sometimes crystals are then added to the box to give it extra power. Then the box is put in an area of the house that has energy. The box is opened every so often and the wishes are read aloud. Once a wish is fulfilled it is removed from the box. New wishes are added to the box when desired. Boxes come with instructions for use and placement based on Feng Shui principles.

I have put one on my desk at home and at work. I have lots of pretty boxes lying around and now they have a purpose.

My first wish is to get rid of this cold.

House cleansing

I am off to clean the renovated space at work, literally, I will plan a spiritual cleansing for Sunday before everyone come in on Monday.
I read that to improve the chi flow in your space you need to move 40 objects at least to get it circulating again in a positive way, stagnant object create a stagnant chi pond. I think we have moved enough objects at work to have a chi cyclone.

Too Cool for you!

All the things off my daily list done! Well done me, I squirreled myself away in Gandalf's office today so as not to be distracted, I am so easily lured by a look or a word into conversation, it is the undiagnosed ADD I think.
Discussion with a builder abut the office renovation had me thinking about the power of space and how important it is that we treat ourselves to a lovely environment. This is especially relevant after spending the day in Gandalf's solitary confinement pen.
I was being a 'cool' person last night, looking at all things, well Cool and I saw this photo of the Volkswagon factory in Germany. Man, über efficent, but lots of "cold occurrence" as it is known in Feng Shui. Too much white brings on negative energy and in an office space this translates to being to 'Cool' to be 'Cool'.
I know of a design office that is so cool your need to tap on the walls to hear the hollow sound that signifies the toilet is behind the wall. I am serious. How is this good for staff morale and their bladders?
I have a giant pink wall in my office, just one wall, Indian Sari pink, I love it, but people tend to come and squish a bit in my room, Gandalf call it the Womb with View. Maybe I should consider painting this when we renovate.
But what colour, what is the theme? I will look into this and report later.

Hanging in the 'Rat

Went to Ballarat for a variety of reasons and ended up not doing anything I had planned and found myself in an art gallery having some serious syncrodestiny moments. Too many to believe, it began to get tiring. I said to Gandalf that it was draining trying to understand what it all meant. Maybe sometimes a cigar is just a cigar I know, but these signs were out of control. So much of the art on the wall reflected so many things that we are discovering in our life or are important right now. I felt myself being dragged onto the past during the day also, so did Gandalf, while memories, music and other crap rose to the surface of our consciousness.
I have searched for reasons why, is it astro based? Or just us feeling melancholy for no good reason?
Can't find any good reason other than the temperature being eyeball freezing and it raining the whole time. Maybe we have a case of the SADS. Probably.

Day off tomorrow, I am going to clean up my bomb site study that is driving me nuts. Maybe thats why I am being a pain in the arse. I read that if you have one room in your house that is a shithole filled with crap then it is über bad feng shui. The messy room is stopping your flow and reflects a part of your chi that is being held hostage by your mess.
Clean up your mess piglets and let your chi start flowing !

Clutterbusters

I have reading about Feng Shui and how clutter symbolises 'snags and snarls' in the flows of your business. It stops the chi [energy] travelling around your office and this creates roadblocks for your plans and intention.
I thought about the piles of crap under my desk at the moment, its seems to be a dumping ground by staff for all the old client files, folders and bad gifts from Officeworks. I realised I need to clear this straight away from under my desk, I can feel it creeping up on me, literally, I can't even stretch my legs our under my desk. Legs symbolise strength, stability and expedition. I need to be ready for travels, movement and battle at anytime and if the past is literally stopping me then I need to clear it out so I can stretch my pins and be ready to move forward in a heartbeat.

Balance schmalance

Got Gandalf onto the Feng Shui cards and the compass. He place the cards in the correct positions in my living area. Balances everything supposedly. The ying and yang of it all.

Think this guy could do with some of those Feng Shui cards, no judgement, no praise, just doing my duty and letting people know.

Feng this!

Man, opened the Feng Shui kit I bought for Gandalf, I knew he was never going to open it. It says Feng Shui in 8 easy lessons. I don't think so, or maybe I am Ricky Retardo!
Comes with a Feng Shui ruler[??], a handy unsharpened pencil and a compass. I am both directionally challenged and numerically challenged so I had a feeling that Feng Shui was not going to be for me. seems so difficult and complex and something you cannot do half assed. What happens if you get your Golden tiger and Black Turtle mixed up ? Anything goes.

I did go to the Spell Shop yesterday and was sent to the more serious franchise uptown, where they work on you immediately, good stuff. The Sibyl gave me an abundance laxative, I have lots of money owing but nothing in the coffers. Took the small Picesean Son with me, he wanted a chalice, so I caved and bought him one[ Indianan Jones and the Last Crusade has had a lasting impact on him]. The Sibyl made me a potion then magically charged it and charged the Young Indiana's chalice also. He was most impressed and then asked if she also could make him fly.

Her answer:
Only in your dreams.

So Mote It Be.

Which way is up?

Have bought Gandalf a Feng shui kit for his office, with eight easy lessons!
Should we trust the eight easy lessons bit? Does it come with a set of free steak knives?
It does come with a compass which is great, as I have issues with direction, both Physically and Metaphysically. He is in a dungeon of an office, no natural light till we do the renovations this year. Poor little lab rat!

Gee, I whipped through my list at work yesterday, must be the astro transits occuring. I tell you though, the further I delve in Astrology the more complex it seems, it is so much more then the whole Sun sign thingy.

I have a hankering to do a Tarot reading about ME tonight. Would love to see where and why and what for. I did one for Saggo sis-in-law on the weekend and was frightfully spot on, I kept apologising and gesturing to the cards.

In the immortal words of Bart Simpson:" Wasn't me, wasn't me!"

Chop Sui

So, Feng Shui seems difficult. As a person who never knows her Norths from her Northwests, I am struggling with trying to make things work in the office in a "chi" flowing way.
The energy should be able to flow in your office with out obstruction by objects.
Also:

• Do not site with your back to the door
• Avoid sitting in line with the door
• Don't have sharp angles or edges facing you. ie: open bookshelves

I cannot give up my open bookshelves, sorry, but I have plans for them in the office renovation, so I will have to investigate some sort of talisman or windchime to offset the negative energy they may or may not create.

Blimey, I need a compass!

P.S Thanks to all the whitelighters who blessed Scorpio Daughter9 year old for her visit to "horsepiddle" Blessed Seraph went to white light her but she was already covered. Gorgeous.
