Well done me!

I am a good cook, sometimes even great. It's all about the Taurus and Cancer ascendant.
Sometimes I will put a meal in the freezer and later, when I am at home, too lazy to head out to eat, I will dig around and find the pleasure of food past.
Todays find was a Spring Vegie and Lamb Risotto. It was good. I was happy that I cooked it once and thrilled to find it today.

Coming Home

Yes, I have been away with the fairies, literally. Locked down with work and book looming over me. Highlights have included lunch dates with Blessed Seraph and The Contessa. Always good conversation from both ladies.

I have been fully committed to Wayne Dyers 6 CD set, There's a Spiritual Solution for Every Problem, which is playing in my car. I usually do a Wayne or Deepak CD when I am going on a long drive, where I can listen without interruption.
I have been a little disconnected lately and thought listening to Wayne might help me board the astral plane. So, with no long daytrips planned, I have had to do a little bit of Wayne listening time everyday. In the morning for 20 minutes, in the evening for 30 mins.

What is happening in between the AM and PM car trips is astonishing. These small listening times have enabled me to process what I have absorbed for those moments in the car.
I am taking a few topics at a time and have started to understand more than ever before.

As a Student of the Universe, as The Good Doctor calls me, I often overstimulate and hyper-educate myself but I don't take the time to process and apply the knowledge. I have had more connection and signposts this week than I have had in the longest time, not since I was at the start of my journey.

The astonishment and the joy is back. The surprised feeling, combined with the deep knowing when signs and syncrodesstiny connect to the bigger picture and I still have 3 CD's to go.

I might just pop up the shop for a KitKat and a quick dose of Wayne.......

Open Garden

Blessed and I were talking about Facebook and the fact a friend of ours updates their profile every hour or so. I will never need to speak to her again since she updates when she is bathing, drinking or even weeping. Like any new techie fad, I jumped on board early but soon fell of the wagon, as I am wont to do. It also violates my code of overusing the word 'friend'. We are not friends, only friendly acquaintances. Keep it real!

Blessed pointed out that Facebookers equates popularity by how many 'friends' they have. This is true of the younger Facebookers, I believe. They become lifelong buddies on Big Brother or hug desperately in the semifinals of Idol.
They are the generation of "Insta-Friend. Just add water!"

For me and Blessed and others of our generation, we want longer conversations, deeper thoughts and a suggestion of caring. Not a virtual, private walled garden where only the special few can share the spoils.
Maybe its the socialist in me, but I am more for sharing my love and light in a public way.
It reminds me of the classic story by Oscar Wilde, The Selfish Giant.
The first book I ever cried at when I was 9 years old.

Open your garden, share your love and light and lose the selfish and the ego gene.

Expose yourself

I have recently bought some pretty amazing artwork for the walls in my office.
Creativity supporting the creativity that comes out of the business.
The first one went up yesterday to sighs from all of us standing around for the great unveiling.
I have more going up on the walls in the next few weeks.
I met with an artist last week, from whom I have bought an amazing painting. We talked about the art being in peoples spaces and how the artist will never know what different works mean to the people who have them hanging in their lives.
The silent, visual language of the artists intention is an honour and a responsibility to have on my walls. To stand in an artists studio, with them nervously presenting their works is humbling. As I left she said thankyou as I handed her a cheque. I stopped and touched her arm and said, "No the honour is mine. Thank you for parting with your a little of your Spirit and Soul and allowing me to have this in my life."

All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.

Between the shadow and the soul

The eclipse tonight brings changes. I am already seeing them happen around me.
The weak are so vulnerable in this phase. Where there are breaks that have healed, the eclipse threatens to snap them exposed once again. The emotional wounds will weep with a type of deeply felt pain that only memory brings.
It is because of the moon that some so tender at this time. Emotions, faith, spirituality and bringing what lies in your souls shadow up to the light. Whatever is lurking between your soul and your shadow will rise to the top begging for attention.
No decisions should be made till after an eclipse.
Tomorrow threatens to be emotional but with a dash of epiphany and insight.

Clouds

I was Atlas last night, with the world and all its problems upon my shoulders. I snuck off to bed hoping it would all dissipate overnight but it seems it was not only me who was feelign the malaise. Gandalf was feeling his own "Mean Reds" sitting up late on the couch and I was feeling the "Moody Blues"in the bedroom. Then the Pisces Son felt the "Moody Spews" and vomited all night. Good times!
Is this the darkness before the eclipse and the Full Moon in Pisces tomorrow?

A full moon in Pisces always makes one more susceptible to psychic energies. The Pisces Son felt it harshly and was thus sick all night. The darkness before the eclipse and the Full Moon in Pisces tomorrow can bring on true despair. The dark side of our faith and spirituality. Perhaps the only panacea is to hook into todays Moon in Aquarius and remain intellectual and not emotional.
Be Be the Witness today.
This will be easy for me, since I bought a top that makes me look like an Amish woman.
Off I go in my horse and buggy!

It will be ok.

As you all know I am a crazy astrologer when I am not running a business, being a mother and writing a book.
The skies are so on our side at the moment I thought I must share it with you.

Today, the Sun aligns with Saturn. This is a time when we are called upon to "get real". We feel the constraints of time and are motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. It's "nose to the grindstone" time. We may feel overworked; alternatively, we welcome some discipline into our lives. It is time to work on a new plan for creating order in your life, or on an old project that requires a new commitment. Emotional energy is not enough to fuel us for the time being; thus we could feel sapped on a physical level. However, making new commitments to old goals, shouldering responsibilities, and making careful use of our resources could feed our need for structure and order in our lives.

Perfect.

The Sun/Saturn alignment affects us all in different ways and looking at your charts quickly I want you each to be mindful of this. This transits challenge is to overcome the things that push each of our individual buttons in our Sun sign. What gets you down the most? Where do you panic? Where is your weak point. Today Saturn will be trying its hardest to push that button but the Sun will be trying to counteract it, use your ego. Fake it till you make it is the order of the day!

Who moved my incense?

Change is constant. Everything is constantly evolving around us. Nature, ourselves, thoughts, attitudes, our possessions, jobs, relationships.
Change can be thwarted though by the evil "Fear Fairy". The Fear Fairy comes and makes you nervous about the future, you see the past through rose coloured glasses and she dresses you up in insecurity and helplessness.
The only way to get rid of the Fear Fairy is to talk about what you fear about the change. Talking will start to make things seem less colossal and scary, discussion is often the best medicine.
My way for coping with change is to see everything, not as a problem but as a challenge. This reframing means that I immediately go to the place of trying to move through the challenge instead of blaming and freaking out about how I got into the problem into the first place.
A massive change of thought to cope with massive change.
I banished the fear fairy long ago, but noted with interest she came and waved her wand at work today. Talk, I said, hold the stick and say your stuff. at the end of the day, it was all better. The Fear Fairy is gone. Good riddance I say.

Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood. Marie Curie

Get over it

Gorgeous long chat with Lady Lippy the Linguist. I blame my recent self doubt about everything, on Venus Retrograde. Venus features highly in my chart as a Taurus. I am not handling her sulking at all well.
Hosting a ladies lunch next week for the bumpets [pregnant ones ] and crumpets [swinging party girls]. Tracksuits, Oprah, Carbohydrates!
Blissed and blessed!

Meanwhile, the lovely Nina, corporate lawyer and super astrologer from San Francisco blogs about the power of a brilliant chart. I lay in bed last night thinking about how you can have better charts than others and Nina proves this with a blog about a remarkable chart and full explanation. Nina has recently being helping me with some questions I have had about the stars and the future, well played Nina and a hearty thanks!

Count me in

This book is great. Numerology is something I need to get more into! My friend, Fish Girl, is big on the numbers and knows heaps.
The Grecian Goddess has loaned me this book and I was astonished at its accuracy.
Numerology found its origins in Egypt, where most things started. People crap on about the Roman times but I think that Misr is where its at!

P.P.S

Astrobarry says it better than anyone else!

Thanks Fishgirl for the word!

Forecast- dark and stormy, with a chance of a driveby shooting.

The skies are stormy at the moment. Mercury Quincunxes Uranus and Venus Retrograde,
This is never a great time of the year for me. The Leo/Virgo months don't always work well in my chart. Some months are better than other, March and October are fine months for me, as is April and June.
Here's my interpretation of what is happening in the skies.

Mercury Quincunxes Uranus- Look at old issues that keep popping up with a fresh set of eyes. "Reframe it" as Domonique the Wonderful says.

Venus Retrograde- Old love issues coming back to haunt you.
Mine is all about friendships, wounds being peeled open and me left desolate and sparing on the side of the highways of life. I dreamt last night of a friend who has passed away and Russian symbols carved onto stone tablets and goblets that when transcribed said" Not dead, only sleeping". Way depressing much!
I plan on spending the evening with a friend who always makes me see the perspective, and makes time to soothe and reason with me when I am in the spiral. She is my 'reframer.'

So think about what is haunting your love life at the moment. Giving our the wrong signals? Bringing up shit to destroy your love life just for the hell of it? Feeling fat and unloveable? Blame it on Venus Retrograde.

Using your fabulous Mercury Quincunx Glasses, reframe your Venus in Retro issues and look at them anew. Chances are you will feel different. Just writing this, I feel better.
Bless the Quincunx!

P.S Let us all thank The Contessa for todays gorgeous picture!

The answers inside

New moon in Leo comes in tomorrow at 9.05am, just as I am having my coffee and work in progress meeting with the team. In this transit expect creativity and ego, like all good Leos. Bad Leo's blame other for failure, "Isn't wasn't my fault" kinds stuff. Yawn.
The pagan in me knows that I must accept ultimate responsibility for everything I do, good and bad.

On another note I have playing with my scry a lot lately. I love the scry, its is so reliable and truthful, even though I may not want to always hear the answers. No matter what I do, it still swings and circles, regardless of what I want the answer to be.

I once witnessed a criminal lawyer come into the spellshop to chose herbs for a working he was doing before he started a big case. He pulled out a well worn leather pouch containing a scry and measured with the old brass scales. The scales of justice and the scales of magic working for him. He chose them according to the swings and roundabouts of his crystal tool. He was so efficient and aloof in his suit that the staff left him alone Then he added them all up on the calculator, produced a wad of cash from his suit, left what he owed on the table and excited the shop.

I wandered past the burning charcoal on the table and threw a little copal incense on it for good measure. He should have disappeared in puff of smoke, it was so enchanting. I felt better having provided one for him!

What may be

Mercury trines Jupiter. Good time for writing down your plans and playing, "What would you do if you won $10 million?". Think big my peeps.

Stablise the chubby!

The lowlight I mentioned is the eclipse, all doom and gloom and the like. The highlight is that Jupiter goes direct today. Jupiter is the thinking persons planet and also the planet of opportunity. It's been on hiatus since April. Feel like you have strayed off the path over the past few months? Jupiter will get you back on.

Jupiter is also the planet of weight gain when it is retrograde, so now that it is moving forward, chances are you will lose what you have put on or at least stabilise the chubby! Indeed, I hope so, since I have chubbed up of late but interestingly it had lowered when I jumped on the scales of pain this morning.

Breakages will be paid for

Now is not the time to start new projects. We are in a waning moon and an eclipse bears down upon us, coming on September 11th. This will be a difficult eclipse, some dodgy aspects between Mercury and a nasty little star called Vindemiatrix- otherwise known as 'the widowmaker'. Brings back memories of other events from 9/11/2001. You may feel the energy between now and then, like a storm is brewing.

Prepare.

Co-inkydinky

This is what I called a coincidence when I was a kid. Now I call them a sign. But of what. The last great coincidence/sign I had was that Blessed had met the man she was to marry. Lately I have seen a few things but I always forget to write them down and then 'shazam' I am out of the loop again! Goddammit!

My focus for the next month is to try and track the signs....psychic detective at large.......

Rise pantheist

I have officially listed my religion as Pantheist on Facebook. Everything is god and god is everything. No doubt this will spin those out who already doubt my sanity. My mother is a raving pantheist with me and my father, so we are all a family of freaks. I like it. There is no church but nature itself. No deity but you and those around you. Worship those you love and stop competing with people for you are only competing against yourself.

I think recycle bins are the new offering plates to the Universe. Clean up, stop being an arsehole and leave something nice for your kids to play in when you leave this mortal coil.
Really though, I left religion behind when I found out that women couldn't be leaders of the church. I was 6 at the time. What the hell? I would never take my daughter to a church where their was no place for her in it in her future, other than doing the flowers and making plates of sandwiches for the worshippers to scoff down after the service! That is why I am always surprised when strong women follow certain religions that will not allow them to show their strength and lead in worship.

People always ask me what religion I am and when I say "Nothing, I am spiritual", they don't understand. Small minds need small compartments to pop you in so everything is neatly stored in their worlds. Now I have an answer. I am a pantheist. Can't wait to throw this one at certain peeps who think I need an 'carefrontation!' Gandalf cannot stop laughing, bless him! He is the biggest pantheist I know, along with the poster boy for pantheism, Albert Einstein.
"Albert and Gandalf sitting in a tree, kissing in a tree."

Full Moon in the Blue Sky

The Moon will be full in Aquarius at 10.49am. No wonder I am going crazy on the technology.

Technology overload

I am seriously the most techno chick I know.
Facebook, Myspace, Blogger, MSN, Skpe, ichat, Treo, ipods. Not at all surprising though when you consider my Mars [passion] and my North Node [what I need to be developed in this life] is in Aquarius, the planet of blue sky thinking and all things dork. Aquarians loves them some technology !
But I wonder if I can overload on too much technology? Probably.
Earlier I was blogging, uploading photos on Facebook, Skyping with someone and MSNing with another. It got confusing and I was asking people the wrong things and frankly it all went to hell in a virtual handbasket.

Domonique the Wonderful gave me some lovely notepaper with owls on it. I may go back to writing notes me thinks [and talking in a medieval style].

So correspondence with me may take a little longer than usual. Due to the homing pigeon I am considering investing in. Leave a window open so the little birdie can fly through to deliver the messages.

And don't catch the bird and cook it! I know your sort!
