Rise pantheist
I have officially listed my religion as Pantheist on Facebook. Everything is god and god is everything. No doubt this will spin those out who already doubt my sanity. My mother is a raving pantheist with me and my father, so we are all a family of freaks. I like it. There is no church but nature itself. No deity but you and those around you. Worship those you love and stop competing with people for you are only competing against yourself.
I think recycle bins are the new offering plates to the Universe. Clean up, stop being an arsehole and leave something nice for your kids to play in when you leave this mortal coil.
Really though, I left religion behind when I found out that women couldn't be leaders of the church. I was 6 at the time. What the hell? I would never take my daughter to a church where their was no place for her in it in her future, other than doing the flowers and making plates of sandwiches for the worshippers to scoff down after the service! That is why I am always surprised when strong women follow certain religions that will not allow them to show their strength and lead in worship.
People always ask me what religion I am and when I say "Nothing, I am spiritual", they don't understand. Small minds need small compartments to pop you in so everything is neatly stored in their worlds. Now I have an answer. I am a pantheist. Can't wait to throw this one at certain peeps who think I need an 'carefrontation!' Gandalf cannot stop laughing, bless him! He is the biggest pantheist I know, along with the poster boy for pantheism, Albert Einstein.
"Albert and Gandalf sitting in a tree, kissing in a tree."

You are hilarious, Dreamweaver! I think i must be a Pantheist too, does that mean you believe in everything? Cause i do. Plus panthers are my fave animal and it sounds a biit like Panther. Re: leaving the church over equality issues, that sounds suspiciously like a Mars in Aquarius activity...hmmm.
Here's a quote for today ( I got it off an album cover)
"whatever you love, you are"
Have a beautiful day!

If I am "whatever I love, I am"
I am everything, because on the most part I do love everything. I cry over how much I love things sometimes, family, friends, food, artwork, music. Such a Taurus.
Right on regarding the panther action. "All gods, all the time"should be their positioning statement.
Etymology is:
"Pan' from the Greek meaning "all".
"Theist" 1662, from Greek- theos "god".
All god.All good.
As soon as I read 'Pantheist' I thought of the Pantheon - meaning "Temple of all the Gods") the beautiful building in Rome which was originally built as a temple to the seven deities of the seven planets... quite lovely I thought -

Of course, totally brilliant connection! Perfect. I am now off to find out who the 7 deities are. If you know already then post here please!

As far as I can work out the planets deities are these...
Saturn - Saturn
Jupiter - Zeus
Mars - Aries
Mercury - Hermes
Venus - Aphrodite
Neptune - Poseidon
Pluto - Hades
and the eighth... Uranus - Cronos
but I'm not sure the ancients, bless them, knew about Uranus...? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I believe you are right, in my very limited knowledge.
Gives me something to research though.

I was going to ask what Pantheist was, but previous comments have answered that for me. I also left behind religion at an early age, but for different reasons. I still believe in Gods, but religion is very commercialised now and churches are often rich while their supporters live in near poverty giving as much as they can to the weekly collection plate.
Agreed River, agreed.
Thanks for reading.
